Blackberries

I've been eating lots of blackberries lately. And why not? The stores have been putting them on sale for awhile now. Just can't resist.

Better

I think I am getting better at using my Yashica D don't you think? I am still guessing my exposures, but that should change soon (hint hint). It's soooo different than using a 35mm, it humbles me.

My Sewing Table

Finally, a picture for the post!

About a year ago, hubby got me a white, foldaway table from IKEA to use as sewing table. It was one of the best gifts I ever received. I do all my cutting and sewing on it. It is just big enough to work on, but not too big for my tiny craft room. And the light is great since it is right in front of a window. Yes, I love my sewing area.

Fire

When I was visiting Mammoth Cave National Park they were conducting "prescribed" fire in the forest. It was quite a sight.

1, 2, 3

This is no ordinary bike.
These are handmade with copper wires by a man who lives in a village outside of Wuhan, China.
He feeds his family by doing construction work and makes these amazing miniature bicycles during his free time. Occasionally, he sells them on the streets to make a few bucks. My mother discovered him one day and bought a few items for me. How I treasure those! The biggest one is about the size of my palm and I have very small hands. I wish I had pictures of the man. May be I will hunt him down next time I go back to China.

Flags

I was pleasantly surprised to see a Chinese flag in a park in Cincinnati!

Searching

To search for one's own voice in the photographic world is not always easy. There are times that I feel completely lost and unsure, but I try to keep going and follow my heart the best I can.

Coffee or Tea?

Tea. Coffee has never been my thing, although I love the smell of it. Sometimes, I contemplate on brewing a pot of coffee just so the house could smell like it.

Sunday Thoughts

Sundays, especially rainy Sundays, makes me think a little more, reflect a little more, and perhaps feel a little more.

I wouldn't call myself a drama queen, but my life has never been a boring one either.
I've made many mistakes, and hope to make less as I get older.
I like challenges, and that can be a problem sometimes.
I enjoy solitude very much, but human interactions make me a better person.
I am inspired by simple things such as this rainy Sunday.

And, last but not least, I am learning to become more organized, not to look good for others, but to gain back some self-respect.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday:)
